About the deal

QuantAds, a Copenhagen based company, specializes in digital marketing across Europe with a focus in Paid Search (SEM), software development, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), email marketing, social media, and Google Analytics. The company was founded in 2010 and began with merely five employees. It has grown since then and now employs 50+ professionals. QuantAds was awarded the Børsen Gazelle in 2015 due to their rapid and successful growth.

DEPT is a leading European digital agency that was formed by the alliance of various specialist agencies to create one company that merges creativity, technology, and data. The DEPT team is comprised of 900 experts in creative, digital, marketing, and commerce, who help reinvent and accelerate businesses in new digital reality. The company is owned by the Dutch Private Equity firm Waterland, which has made investments in over 400 companies and manages € 6 billion. Waterland has offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Denmark, and Poland and is ranked as the number 2 global private equity firm from the Dow Jones Private Equity Performance Ranking.

With the acquisition of QuantAds, DEPT will gain strong local presence in the Nordics. It will also allow both companies to combine their digital marketing offerings towards customers across Europe.
