Stefano Manna has over 12 years of experience in the private equity industry.

Before joining Investec, he was a Director in the GP Advisory group at Eaton Partners, where he was responsible for the sourcing, structuring, and execution of the secondary transaction mandates in the EMEA region. Previously, Stefano was at Cebile Capital (now part of Raymond James) and Greenhill, specialising in private market secondary advisory. Before that, he was on the buy side at Advanced Capital SGR, a leading alternative asset and fund-of-funds manager, now part of Capital Dynamics.

He also has M&A experience from previous experiences at Palladio Finanziaria and Rabobank.

Sebastian is Managing Director at Capitalmind Investec in the international Team Technology sector, specialising in financial solutions for medium-sized technology and digital companies. His clients are companies from the software, fintech, digital media, digital transformation and IT integration sectors.

Sebastian has been involved in transactions in Germany and internationally for over 15 years with a strong focus on software and financial technology, digital transformation and business innovation. He has a passion for disruptive technologies like blockchain. His clients range comprise medium-sized companies and owner-led businesses in the wider technology space, private equity and growth capital providers as well as family offices. He has advised numerous clients in buy-outs, exits, acquisitions, capital increases and succession solutions.

Prior to joining Capitalmind Investec, Sebastian was Chief Strategy Officer at a compliance software company in the US, Partner at a venture and corporate finance company BVV in Switzerland, and Director at GP Bullhound, a global technology investment bank. Sebastian started his career at Deutsche Bank AG in M&A in Frankfurt. Sebastian is also a member of the supervisory board of Advanced Blockchain AG, which is listed on the German Stock Exchange and is dedicated to the incubation of blockchain projects.

His large network in the technology market in Germany and internationally, his extensive fundraising and M&A expertise, as well as his entrepreneurial experience round off his profile as a very well connected dealmaker and trustworthy advisor and represent a great asset for us as we further strengthen our German activities with him as part of our technology team.

Oliver Cardigan has joined the team as MD in the Consumer and Leisure sectors. His previous role was Head of Consumer – Investment Banking at Panmure Gordon having previously worked at Numis and Rothschild.

Oliver has worked on more than 50 Equity Capital Markets and M&A transactions across retail, consumer products, digital consumer, travel, and leisure. At Investec he will continue to strengthen the bank’s relationships with listed and private companies in these sectors.

Kunal focuses on the ECM practice at Investec India.

With over 14 years of experience in Equity Capital Markets, Fund Raising and M&A, Kunal has completed more than 45 Equity Capital Market transactions and raised close to US$140bn for his clients which included domestic and international clients.

Prior to Investec, he worked with KPMG, Morgan Stanley, Barclays and CIMB. Kunal is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University.

Elton has had an Investment Banking career spanning close on 20 years advising clients within the telecoms, financial services, consumer, retail and mining sectors across a multitude of geographies including Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, London, Hong Kong, Mozambique, Middle East and South Africa. Elton has advised on a broad range of transactions comprising B-BBEE transactions, capital raises, listings, mergers and acquisitions among others.

Prior to joining Investec, Elton spent 10 years at UBS as an Executive Director in Investment Banking. Prior to UBS, Elton spent time at Credit Suisse, HSBC and Standard Bank.

Andrew has 25 years of experience across mergers and acquisitions, coverage and financing (corporate, structured and leveraged).

His experience includes working for Standard Bank, Mettle, Rothschild and the Barclays Group, concluding transactions in a variety of sectors involving private companies, listed companies and parastatal entities.

Andrew joined Investec in 2014 and is focused on the provision of financing to listed and private equity owned companies.

I joined Investec from PwC in 2012, where I advised clients on Digital Strategy.

Prior to this, I worked in the TMT sector at Lazard. I have worked in the Indian market for the last two years, recently moving to India full-time to continue Investec’s push into the consumer space.

I hold an MA (Hons) in English from Jesus College, Cambridge University.

I joined Investec in July 2019. I have more than 13 years of experience in investment banking.

Prior to Investec I worked at Axis Capital advising domestic and international corporates on Mergers & Acquisitions. I have advised clients on some of the most complex M&As and structured financing transactions across Infrastructure, Industrials and Consumer & Retail sectors.

My prior work experience includes L&T Finance and Morgan Stanley. I have been a rank-holder Chartered Accountant and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University.

I joined Investec in November 2017. I have more than 13 years of experience in investment banking.

Prior to Investec I was leading the Industrials practice at Edelweiss Financial Services Limited. I have worked on several marquee M&A and PE transactions across the Industrials sector including auto components, specialty chemicals, valves and water treatment.

My prior work experience includes Avendus Advisors Private Limited and Anand Rathi Advisors Limited. I hold a Masters in Management Studies from JBIMS and Bachelors in Polymer Engineering.

Jarrett has strong institutional relationships developed over his close on 20 years of financial market experience, including at Investec where he joined in 2013, and Deutsche Bank.

Before joining Investec Investment Banking, Jarrett was the former head of the International and Emerging Markets equities desk in Investec’s New York office, responsible for UK, Euro, SA and Indian listed equities for US institutional clients at Investec. Prior to New York, Jarrett was a top-rated oil, gas, chemicals and media equity analyst with both Investec and Deutsche Bank.

Jarrett was part of the lead Investec team on the Pepkor (STAR) and Dis-Chem IPO’s in his capacity as US Equity desk head and has participated in various capital raises for a number of Investec’s key clients listed in both South Africa and London.

Jarrett is a Chemical Engineer and Chartered Accountant.

Paras has extensive experience in the Private Equity and M&A space. At Investec India, he focuses on the TMT, Education and Services sectors.

Prior to Investec India, he was an Associate Partner with EY India’s Investment Banking team. Paras has worked on M&A and Private Equity deals in the Media, Technology, Education, and Services sectors.

Paras started his career at Cadbury (Mondolez) India as part of their Corporate Finance and Strategy team. Paras is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and also a Chartered Accountant.

Parshav has extensive experience across Fund Raise, M&A and Equity Capital Markets. At Investec India, he focuses on the Consumer and Consumer Tech sectors. Prior to Investec India, Parshav worked with marquee Investment Banks such as Avendus, Kotak, Barclays and Lehman Brothers.

Parshav has previously also covered sectors such as Infrastructure, Media, Education, Technology, and Business Services.

Parshav started his career at Bank of America as part of their Investment Banking team. Parshav is an MBA from the Indian School of Business and a B.Tech from IIT Bombay.

I have extensive experience in Corporate Finance and Equity Capital Markets and at Investec India, I focus on the financial services sector. I enjoy deep relationships across a variety of investor classes and clients.

Prior to Investec India, I was an Associate Partner with EY India’s Investment Banking team. I have led over 30+ M&A and Private Equity deals in the NBFC, Insurance, AMC, Fintech and allied financial services sectors. Previously, I worked at Yes Bank and CRISIL. I am a Chartered Accountant and I have a Masters in Management Studies from NMIMS, Mumbai.

Marc has close on 20 years in investment banking experience across all corporate advisory aspects including mergers & acquisitions, debt and equity capital markets, across a wide range of sectors, both locally and internationally. Prior to joining Investec, Marc worked at Goldman Sachs, Renaissance Capital and Nedbank Capital.

Marc’s sector experience includes, inter alia, retail, consumer, financial services, general industrials, telecommunications and metals & mining.

Marc’s select announced historical transaction experience includes being advisor to Ecobat in the disposal of its Southern African operations, Shoprite in the acquisition of select Massmart assets, Mr Price in its $250m acquisition of the Studio 88 Group, Mr Price in its acquisition of Yuppiechef, Cashbuild in its $75m acquisition of The Building Company, Shoprite in the strategic review of its non-SA African operations, BEEMilk’s acquisition of a 15% stake in Clover, Shoprite’s proposed $15bn merger with Pepkor’s African retail assets, Truworths £256m acquisition of Office UK, $1.2bn recapitalisation of Cell C, Sale of Helios’ stake (12.22%) in Equity Bank (Kenya), Ivanplats IPO and capital raising of $305m on the TSX, Kipushi mine $200m sale to Ivanplats, Royal Bafokeng Platinum IPO / capital raising of $430m on the JSE, Taung Gold $580m reverse take-over on SEHK, Master Drilling IPO / capital raising of $50m on the JSE and Anglogold Ashanti $2.1bn rights issue / demerger.

Vikram joined Investec in July 2019 to Co-Head the Corporate Finance & Equity Capital Markets division.

Previously, he was a Director at Lazard India where he spent over 13 years providing advice to clients around the world on complex transactions across various sectors in India. Overall, he has consummated close to 60 deals in multiple sectors across M&A and equity capital raising transactions.

Prior to Investec, Vikram also worked with HDFC Asset Management and Deloitte. Vikram is a Chartered Accountant from India and a Chartered Management Accountant from the UK.

Nick heads up the combined Investment Banking and Principal Investment business of Investec Specialist Bank, a role he has held since 1 December 2018.

Nick was previously CEO of the Investec Property Fund, a position he assumed in 2015, after having joined the Fund in 2014 as part of the executive management team. During his time as CEO, the underlying asset base of the Fund grew from R7bn to R21bn, while the Fund also expanded its investment into Europe and the UK. Nick was also responsible for the Global Investec Property Fund business which included the inwardly listed Investec Australia Property Fund.

Prior to his involvement with the Investec Property Fund, Nick spent nine years at Investec Corporate Finance, where he was a senior investment banker responsible for a number of Investec’s key client relationships, including all clients within the real estate sector. Nick is a qualified CA (SA), CFA, while he has also completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard.

Dan is Head of Investec’s M&A team in the North of England as well as leading various sub-sector initiatives nationally. He has over 20 years of experience advising entrepreneurs, private companies and shareholders seeking to raise finance or deliver M&A. He has deep experience and investor relationships when raising growth and de-risking capital from Private Equity and Venture Capital. This experience is enhanced by having advised Private Equity buy-side throughout his career, gaining a clear perspective of their priorities and tactics. Dan enjoys building trusted relationships with entrepreneurs advising them to deliver their long term objectives and not just one-off transactions.

Dan joined Investec in 2015 to develop its Northern M&A practice having spent his career working as a Lead Advisor in Big 4 and Investment Banks. He was attracted to the chance to work for an entrepreneurial bank where he could build his own franchise and he has since created a team of experienced advisors working across the region. The greatest complement for his team’s services is the significant level of repeat mandates from clients, where Dan and his team have advised entrepreneurs through multiple fund raises and on to an eventual exit to a strategic buyer. Dan and his team are on the whole sector generalists who bring in Investec’s sector advisory and international partners to support a transaction where needed. However Dan does have sector specialisms in the automotive and e-commerce sectors with multiple transaction credentials.

Tom Lewin is Head of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) at Investec in London and is responsible for leading Investec’s FIG M&A Advisory team. Tom works with companies and private equity funds across the spectrum of financial services, with a focus on growth and tech-enabled companies. Tom is focused on building long term relationships and providing independent, strategic advice.

Tom has over 20 years of experience in financial services with extensive M&A and capital markets advisory experience including public and private M&A, restructurings, equity raising (IPOs and rights issues) and hybrid capital issuance for a wide variety of public, private, and private-equity backed companies. Tom joined from KPMG where he was a Partner in the FS M&A team and prior to that spent 15 years in Investment Banking at Barclays and Rothschild.
