About the deal

Famy is a family-owned and independent quarrier group founded in 1860, which also has construction activities. The group initiated a sale process organized by Société Générale. Basaltes acquired 50% of Carrières Henri Roudil held by the Famy group in this sale process. The remaining 50% was held by the Ceccon Frères group, also acquired by Basaltes.

Basaltes is a French family-owned quarrier group with 100 sites, quarries and platforms through 5 subsidiaries including Ceccon Frères. The group employs 450 people and produces 12mt of aggregates per year and generates c.€150m revenues.

Through this acquisition, Basaltes strengthens its position as the leading independent quarrier group in France with a presence in a 5th region.

What we did

Capitalmind Investec advised Basaltes on the acquisition of 50% of Carrières Henri Roudil, providing critical analysis of the operation, valuation guidance, debt financing and execution support.
