About the deal

De Smaakspecialist has acquired the distribution of the (gluten-free) food brands of BestPartner. BestPartner is based in Waalwijk and offers a wide range of certified gluten-free products. The company has the exclusive right to sell the brands of SamMills, Emco, Vitabella and Coppenrath.

De Smaakspecialist is a developer, producer and distributor of organic food with a strong European positioning. De Smaakspecialist offers a total package of organic brands (including Smaakt, BioToday, RAW Organic Food and Consenza), private label and distribution brands. By the acquisition of the distribution of the brands of BestPartner, the company intends to increase its international volumes.

Through this acquisition, De Smaakspecialist strengthens its market position and continues to build on expanding its mission. The added product range means it can further grow in the gluten-free and healthy food categories. BestPartner has a large, international network and thus adds value to the network of de Smaakspecialist. Hence, this makes it possible to accelerate the international expansion of de Smaakspecialist. In addition, the current collaborating producers of BestPartner offer the possibility to further expand the assortment of Consenza, the already existing gluten-free brand of de Smaakspecialist.
