kempf und pfaltz is a specialized histological diagnostics company with a strong focus on dermatopathology operating a state-of-the-art laboratory in Zurich. Certified under ISO 9001:2015 standards, the company is also recognized as a Category D training center by the Swiss Society of Pathology, a training center for dermatopathology, and an accredited center by the International Committee of Dermatopathology (ICDP).

Unilabs is a leading international provider of diagnostic services offering a complete range of laboratory, pathology, genetics and imaging services to patients across four continents. Unilabs invests heavily in technology, equipment and people – using digital technologies in its state-of-the-art laboratories and imaging institutes – to improve the lives of close to 100 million people every year.

The partnership with kempf und pfaltz puts Unilabs at the forefront of dermatopathology by securing long-term, in-house, dermatopathology expertise, boosting reputation, and transforming Unilabs’ ability to serve customers and patients in the Zurich region.

Prof. Dr. Werner Kempf, Dr. Katrin Pfaltz and PD Dr. Ivan Hegyi from kempf und pfaltz will continue to lead the Zurich lab as co-shareholders, ensuring continuity for its employees and referring doctors and contributing their extensive expertise in dermatopathology.
