What we did

Capitalmind assisted Spigraph Group throughout the entire disposal process: from identifying the potential acquirers, preparing the carve-out, negotiating the offers, managing the due diligence process and assisting Spigraph Group in the final legal negotiations.

This new deal with a Japanese group highlights Capitalmind’s ability to complete transactions all over the world, and also illustrates our commitment to serving our clients at every stage of their life cycle. Capitalmind has been advising Spigraph since 2003: this sale of Alos Solution marks our 8th transaction with the group.

About the deal

Alos Solution is one of the leading system providers of enterprise content management and document capture solutions in German-speaking countries. Based in Germany and Switzerland, the company provides solutions and software to several thousand customers across the globe. Alos Solution has been, since 2011, part of the Spigrah group – the leading European value-added distributor of document capture solutions.

Kyocera Document Solutions, headquartered in Osaka, Japan, is a leading manufacturer of document imaging solutions and document management systems. Kyocera Document Solutions is a core company of Kyocera Corporation, the €12bn-revenue world’s leading developer and manufacturer of advanced ceramics and associated products.

Alos is an ideal add-on that completes the Kyocera portfolio by strengthening its position in areas such as data acquisition, Enterprise Content Management and Business Process Management, and by providing highly available and secured document output. By capitalising on Alos’ key strengths in delivering intelligent data acquisition solutions through automated workflows with legally compliant archiving processes, Kyocera hopes to gain synergies from this investment alongside broader customer access. The move helps Kyocera establish itself as a complete solutions provider and will boost the organisation’s success during this exciting era of digital transformation.
