About the deal
Cimlec is a long-standing subsidiary of Groupe Gorgé, specialist in design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of robotic, electrical and automation solutions. Cimlec and its subsidiaries rely on 310 employees and generated, in 2018, revenues of €42 million. The divested businesses offered fewer synergies with the Group’s other businesses, which have evolved significantly over recent years.

Today, the Group is active in the fields of security and protection in extreme environments, as well as in the 3D printing sector. In its more than twenty-five-year history, Groupe Gorgé has always developed and driven the latest technological and industrial innovations.

The group provides energy, safety and environmentally focused solutions across multi-technical and support services from initial design, through installation, testing, commissioning to long term maintenance and facilities management. in 2018 SPIE generated revenues of €6,7 billion and €400M million EBITDA.The acquisition of Cimlec will enable SPIE to strengthen its service offering for the industrial sector in France.
