Capitalmind advised the owners of Forlaget Andersen in the sale to the Rothschild Five Arrow owned Karnov, including preparing for the sale, positioning an unknown company towards Karnov/Five Arrows, supporting the transaction all along the disposal process, advising on deal structuring, valuation guidance, preparation of marketing materials, supporting the DD process, execution support up to closing.
About the deal
The Company “Forlaget Andersen” is a Danish publisher who publishes business manuals on print and web in collaboration with a number of leading authors in their field. The titles include HR, Law, Tax & Accounting, VAT and Salary & Personal Benefits.
Karnov Group is a leading publisher of professional literature within Law, Tax & Accounting, etc. Again, Karnov is particularly known for the publication of law books and several journals within the law aimed at the professional segment. In July 2015, Karnov received an investment from Five Arrow Principal Investments to support Karnov’s growth plan.
With the acquisition Karnov Group has an professional offering to managers of small medium sized corporates who needs to stay updated with new regulations/practices.
