About the deal
Capitalmind Investec has advised the shareholders of MacRobi on the sale of the
company to Dätwyler IT Infra AG.
Datwyler IT Infra AG, which is based in the Canton of Uri and operates globally, is acquiring MacRobi GmbH, which is based in the Canton of Zug. MacRobi will continue to operate under its own name as a subsidiary of Datwyler IT Infra AG with co-founder and CEO Toni Rodriguez as Managing Director; the second co-founder Peter Bieler will retire shortly. .
“We hope that the sale to Datwyler will enable us to better utilize existing growth opportunities, acquire new customers and focus more on innovation and expanding our portfolio,” explains CEO Toni Rodriguez. “To do this, we need a strong, geographically broad-based partner who can support us operationally and offer interesting cross-selling opportunities in the ICT sector with its own portfolio.”
The acquisition will enable Datwyler IT Infra AG to expand its own product and service offering even further in the direction of holistic IT/OT business and thus take a further step in the transformation of its business model into a provider of integrated solutions ranging from structured cabling and data centres to the operation of complex IT/OT infrastructures and managed services with the targeted inclusion of artificial intelligence. The synergy potential is promising due to the complementarity of customer bases and expertise.
