What we did

Capitalmind assisted DECATHLON throughout the sale process, including anticipation of group exit issues, research and selection of strategic buyers, coordination of the process and negotiation of the conditions of the transaction.

This transaction continues to strengthen Capitalmind’s expertise in the sale of leading e-commerce players.

About the deal is the e-commerce leader for fishing in France. Launched in 2004, the company has more than 170,000 references for halieutic lovers, and an annual turnover of almost 20 million euros.

Decathlon, who acquired the website in 2011, has finalized the sale of its shares to Groupe Centre France, because the world leader in the design and distribution of sporting goods has chosen to focus on the development of its own distribution network.

Founded in 1919, Centre France is a multimedia group, operating in the fields of press, advertising, audio-visual, events, publishing and training. This acquisition supports its digital development, builds strategic and operational synergies in e-commerce and data, and strengthens its territorial anchoring.
