What we did
Capitalmind Investec actively supported SPPP’s shareholders (Isatis Capital, BPI France, Cita Investissement and Jean-Romain Py) all along the disposal process: financial analysis, preliminary negotiations, valuation guidance, marketing documentation drafting, management of the DD process, execution support up to closing, and negotiation of the final legal documentation…
Capitalmind Investec has been advising SPPP and its shareholders since 2012: from the creation of the company as an independent entity, through a fundraising in 2016 and until this sale to an international group, we are very happy and proud to have been part of this entrepreneurial adventure!
About the deal
SPPP is a French interiors and exteriors automotive supplier, specialized in the decoration and painting of plastic components. The group has served European automotive Tier 1 suppliers with its industrial know-how since 1987.
In 2012, Jean-Romain Py acquired the company from the SORA-Composites group (backed by Isatis Capital and Bpifrance, and Cita Investissement since 2016), leading SPPP’s further development in quality and innovation. The company has since increased its turnover by 50%, to reach €30 million; and now employs more than 300 people across two sites in France and Slovakia.
SPPP now embarks on a new chapter in its history with Alpha Corporation – a Japanese group listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange that specializes in lockers and access systems (for vehicles, residential, etc.). The deal will deliver significant synergies for Alpha Group, by integrating SPPP’s painting technologies into its own product lines.
