About the deal
A group of Luxembourg investors led by Saphir Capital Partners completed the acquisition of 85% of the Troc de l’île SA / Troc.com group (listed on the Euronext Marché Libre) and 100% of La Trocante, previously held by the personal holding of the founder, Mr. Jean-Pierre Boudier.
Created in 1982 by Mr. Boudier, the group, located in Les Angles (Gard department, in the vicinity of Avignon), is specialised in the management of consignment shops. This group, which has grown through franchising as well as the establishment of owned shops, encompasses today in excess of 200 shops accounting for a sale surface area of more than 250 000m2. With a presence in France, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland and Spain, the Troc.com and La Trocante networks form together the largest European retail chain specialised in consignment shops. The annual turnover amounts to around €150m. Troc.com operates as well the website www.troc.com boasting circa 500.000 unique visitors per month.
