Capitalmind Investec has advised Axéréal in the disposal of SMTP and Sud Services (port handling, consignment and storage services) to Arterris

About the deal

SMTP and Sud Services are acquired by Arterris, an agricultural cooperative active in Southern France. The acquisition of this perimeter enables Arterris to consolidate its market share in the port of Port-la-Nouvelle, while developing its traditional activities (notably cereal, oilseed and seed collection, handling and processing).

SMTP and Sud Services specialize in port services, including handling, loading, unloading, warehousing, consignment, transit, quality control, storage, conditioning, processing and shipment.

What we did

Capitalmind Investec has assisted Axéréal group all along the sale process: designing deal tactics, handling the negotiation in order to maximize the terms of the transaction, managing the process with all counterparts (incl. managing due diligences, TSA, preparing all Axéréal board meetings, etc.)

This transaction is part of Axéréal strategic plan to withdraw from its port activities in the Mediterranean, for which Capitalmind Investec has already supported the first 2 stages (at the port of Sète).
