With the acquisition of Data-AL, Carasent will enter the German market.
Capitalmind Investec acted as exclusive financial advisor to Carasent ASA on the acquisition of DATA-AL GmbH.
Carasent ASA is a Nordic listed technology company specializing in developing mission-critical software for the health- and care sector. Carasent’s product portfolio includes electronic health record systems (EHR), advanced business intelligence tools, and a range of ecosystem services designed to enhance the efficiency and quality of healthcare operations. Founded in 2012, Carasent achieves revenues of around EUR 30m with approximately 200 employees.
Founded in Germany in 1988, Data-AL provides the electronic health record solutions Data-AL and Data-Cur. Data-AL has a local organization of 30 employees with deep knowledge of local requirements, and a strong market position with more than 1,000 customers across most parts of Germany.
With the acquisition of Data-AL, Carasent will enter the German market. Data-AL works with the same types of customers as Carasent with its product Webdoc, consisting of small to medium sized private clinics. With Data-AL, a highly competent team with a very strong market position and an attractive customer base will be taken over. This foundation will be crucial for the introduction of Webdoc on the German market.
