What we did

Capitalmind is actively supporting EDM in formulating and executing its buy & build strategy. In this process we supported EDM from the early stage introduction phase on up to final deal structuring and negotiation of terms and conditions of the deal.

About the deal

EDM was founded in 1995 and has shown strong growth ever since, both autonomous as well as through acquisitions. The company is executing a clear and concrete Buy & Build plan to become the number 1 in people-based marketing by further connecting – through acquisitions – systems and data that drive seamless customer experiences and higher ROI.

The acquisition of HI is the 7th substantial acquisition of the company in recent years and several other acquisitions are expected to follow soon in order to further build-out the data proposition of the company. With this acquisition, EDM’s employee base has grown to over 100 employees.

HI is the leading provider of data quality management software in Europe, servicing companies in the Benelux, Germany and the United Kingdom, with 35 FTE.

Both organizations focus on helping organizations to retrieve meaningful data from customers to improve their performance. The additional knowledge and experience HI has in the field of Data Quality proposition will be a great asset to EDM and further transforms the company from a data solutions company into a data technology solutions company.
