About the deal
Damgaard-Jensen is a full-service provider of visual communication (HQ in the western part of Denmark). The primary solutions are instore campaigns and Point of Sale (POS) solutions – for store decoration in various shapes, materials, and prints. Additional solutions cover Outdoor solutions of signage on buildings, buses, etc. as well as exhibition and decoration for the marketing and experience industries. Damgaard-Jensen is backed by Industri Udvikling, a Danish Private Equity firm who assisted management with MBO of Damgaard-Jensen in 2016.
BrandFactory Danmark (HQ in the eastern part of Denmark) has been a main competitor to Damgaard-Jensen for decades. Until 2013, BandFactory Danmark was managed and owned by the same key employees who now joins Industri Udvikling and Damgaard-Jensen management as shareholders and managers in the merged company with the goal to create a clear market leader in Denmark within visual communication.
What we did
Capitalmind acted as exclusive financial advisor to the MBI team and subsequently the existing shareholders of Damgaard-Jensen throughout the acquisition process, from supporting the deal initiation to final negotiations with the seller. Capitalmind assisted the MBI team and Damgaard-Jensen’s internal teams and external advisors to implement this strategic project, assisting on business plan modeling, valuation, deal structuring, bank presentations, due diligence, and negotiations.
