About the deal

Founded in 2003 and under the helm of Olmix Group since 2018, Amendis is specialized in the production of organo-mineral and organic fertilizers for specialized crops, field crops and green spaces, with key clients spread across France.

Founded in 1993 by Hervé Balusson, Olmix Group is a biotech company specialized in marine biotechnologies and green chemistry, operating through two main markets: Animal Care and Plant Care. Olmix has a turnover of €155m and employs 650 people throughout 36 subsidiaries in the world. The group has 14 industrial sites, including a biorefinery specialised in the processing of algae and 4 formulation plants for its Plant Care business. Olmix Group is owned by its founder and by Motion Equity Partners following their takeover of the company in 2020.

Olmix Group, following the entry of Motion Equity Partners, carried out a strategic review, and took the decision to divest its solid organic fertilizers activity, considered non-core.

Amendis is acquired by Terrial, a subsidiary of Avril and Suez. The transaction will enable Amendis to integrate a major player for organic fertilizers in France, with access to significant sources of high-quality raw materials.

Specialized in the fertilization from organic co-products since 1996, Terrial develops effective and soil respectful fertilization and soil amendment solutions.
